Profile

Emergency Medicine combines almost all disciplines of medicine in one department. It is the fast paced environment, stressful situations and tough decisions that I enjoy functioning in. I find excitement in being exposed to the different aspects of medicine ranging from common colds to trauma victims. The surprises that fly through the doors keep the adrenaline running in me. Most importantly, it is the sense of ultimate satisfaction when succeeding or at least attempting to save a life; this is what attracted me the most in the field of Emergency Medicine. Not only that, but I have the capability to keep calm during stressful events. I knew I was made for Emergency Medicine when after every shift I would wait for my next shift with great anticipation.
